Let me take this opportunity to introduce myself and my co-owner. My name is George (Pete) Henley, I am 58 years old, and I was born and raised in Galveston. I have been employed with the U.S. Postal Service for 40 years, and have been in management for 28 years. I am currently the Postmaster of Galveston. I have five children.

My co-owner, Mr. Cleveland Lane is 52 years old, and has lived in LaMarque for 30 years. He is originally from Lufkin. Mr. Lane has been employed by AT&T for 32 years. He has four children.

We took over ownership of the Galveston Thunderstorm Arena Football Team approximately one month ago. Our intentions are to bring Galveston another exciting tourist attraction. Arena Football is a hard hitting and high scoring sport, that fans will enjoy and love. The Thunderstorm consists of players that have college and professional experience. The players are from local high schools: Galveston Ball Tors, LaMarque Cougars, Texas City Stingrays, Hitchcock Bulldogs, Dickinson Gators, and O’Connell Buccaneers.

The Thunderstorm coach’s are Linc Harden from Galveston Ball, Oklahoma State, and the Dallas Cowboys. Melvin Phillips from O’Connell Buccaneer’s, and he has 12 years Arena Football experience as a player and coach.

We want you to join us in bringing another great pastime to Galveston Island that involves all of Galveston County. The Arena season is from March to August. Our advertisement consists of sponsor logo at mid field that covers 10 yards $15000.00, 5 yards on the field $10000.00, end zone banners $10000.00, sideline banners $5000.00. The Arena field is 50 yards long and the end zones are 28 yards wide. We also will provide programs at each home game with advertisement, one full page $1000.00, half page $500.00, and one fourth page $250.00. Our ticket prices are family affordable with lower level $15.00, upper level $10.00, and general admission $5.00.
